2011 Ford Mustang 5.0L V8

by on 2010/03/19

The 5.0 is back! The 2011 Ford Mustang GT arrives with an all-new advanced 5.0-liter V-8 engine, developed by a passionate cadre of enthusiastic engineers who rallied around the common goal of delivering more than 400 horsepower. The modern 5.0-liter four-valve Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT) V-8 engine in the new Mustang GT will deliver 412 horsepower and 390 ft.-lb. of torque. At the same time, fuel economy is projected to be better than the previous model and unsurpassed in the segment.

please be kind and tell us how much it costs to own a vehicule like that… because i would love to laugh at the fact of how much more its costs than this very affordable mustang. Idiots always compared mustangs to super cars, yet forget to realise the fact of how much they cost. The mustang has been a price/performance beast every since it came out. And has been dominating for over 50 years.

@karimx93 check out the muscle car shootout where they just dynoed the actual stock motors from the 60′s and tell me they didnt make more power

563hp
479lb-ft

or a v12 that makes
604hp
738lb-ft

dont get me started on brabus cars get ur facts straight before u comment stupid shit

CJAEY March 20, 2010 at 3:53 AM

The 2011 Mustang GT is really nice and all…

But saying Germans can do no better? Hope you’re joking… The Mustang will get no better numbers around any complex track. Even if it puts out better numbers…

What’s the deferance on the interior compared to the 2010-2011

CALL0911 March 20, 2010 at 6:08 AM

@deadeyedickification The mustang has always been a better overall package, why else do you think it outlasted the Fbodies? The only good thing about the Fbodies in the last 2 generations have been the drive trains with the LT1/LS1 from 93 to 02. The mustang stuck trough it as a better car, and I have a feeling with the new 5.0 coming out, paired with the track pack, it will dominate the current generation Camaro too.

iceguy2003 March 20, 2010 at 6:42 AM

Keep up? The 4th gens will probably cry antifreeze as this new 5.0 leaves them at the red light.

iceguy2003 March 20, 2010 at 7:17 AM

BEST looking car in the domestic market as I speak. Looks 3x better than the Camaro and Challenger (which look like twins).

And love to see the 5.0 badge back on the sides, even though it’s not related to the old school 5.0. BEAUTIFUL car.

medium95 March 20, 2010 at 7:23 AM

so cool

voltwings March 20, 2010 at 7:29 AM

you realize the 5.0 is actually beating the camaro with 1.2 less liters, and is 300lbs lighter give or take

304teddy March 20, 2010 at 7:37 AM

actually GMs 7.0liter LS7 with 505hp weighs less than this new 5.0 even though the 5.0 is pretty light.

MixMasterApu March 20, 2010 at 10:36 AM

Not 100% sure on it but believe you can order them now at the dealer, they will rollout to the dealers this Spring. Friend has a 2011 GT500 on order

ShadowCBG March 20, 2010 at 10:45 AM

Keep up? power to weight ratio this thing blows the SS away so we’ll see how the camaro keeps up with this.
