For over the past 20 years camaro has beat mustang in performance and even hard during 1998-2002 but after 2011 mustangs come out its OVER!

First, its call a Camaro. If your refering to the GT, the CAMARO whooped its ass raw, by the way, while the GT has less power it also weighs less than the CAMARO which is something you have backwards. The GT500KR was already put against the SS and performances identical with more power.

the 4.6 was on the maro ass with 100 less hp more weight now that the new stang is lighter and has alot more power it will just watch and dont say no bcause u know is true

Yeah i agree, I get so sick of the HICK music everytime people post mustangs. The mustang is a Detroit effort MOTOWN! MUSTANG SALLEY!. ok music aside this new Shelby still dosent do it for me. I still see the designers have inner desire for TRUCKS! common!! US, TRUCKS IS WHAT KILLED THE US MARKET just like those old land yahts of the 60′s. now why im talking about trucks with a mustang, well look at it.!!! it looks like a shrunken truck!. not what a mustang should be!

The PTWA process uses air and electricity to create a plasma jet of 35,000 degrees Fahrenheit, which melts a steel wire that is fed into a rotating spray gun. the new engine sheds 102 pounds i read that the engine is an evolution of the frod gts motor but im sure the change you will def be able to feel between from the 2010 and the 2011 gt500 im sure it will be able to lauch much better and have better traction which was the main problem with the other gt500s

This is the first Ford application of the technology, and it offers improved overall performance and durability, along with functional benefits of reduced friction between piston rings and cylinder bores, improved heat transfer due to increased surface contact area and a weight savings of 8.5 pounds compared to a typical steel-sleeved aluminum block. A mechanical roughening process provides higher material adhesion for the spray coating.

The new engine uses state-of-the-art Plasma Transferred Wire Arc (PTWA) liner coating, a process that applies a 150-micron composite coating that contains nanoparticles on the internal surfaces of engine cylinder bores, replacing cast-iron liners typically used in aluminum engine blocks. The Intellectual Property Owners Education Foundation honored the inventors of the Ford-patented PTWA technology with the 2009 National Inventor of the Year Award.
