ignore him. there are deluded morons. dont get me wrong i dont want to lose any of the big three, cuz i mean that can have big reprucussions in the whole economy, and i do like some of their newer releases. he is probably one of the guys laid off and so drunk and high he thinks they are on top.

ur a complete moron there sales were down 20 percent all of 08 and in 09 starting january dropped 40% from what they were in 07. they aer screwed. and not only do I own one I sold them for 2 years (till january of 09) what are you 12? do you know anything at all???

actually they are posting either the biggest or the second biggest quarterly losses. i know the zr1 is amazing along with all the other corvettes, but gm has become bloated and ineffective, about 1/4 of their entire lineup is worth buying.

thank you. i hate this stupid import vs muscle battle. i know it wont stop but its good to hear a nice unbiased comparison of the two. Me i am little biased and being 19 and no kids on the way i would always choose the one with less doors and seats. the corvette just looks nice and mean too you know? But for now im quite happy with my 95 240sx. this car is proof weak rwd can be super fun and manly (sorry miata guys but its true they are girly cars).

Im with you..I have owned an 04 STi and 2 02 Z06′s…seriously I have..watch my vids..and BOTH are fun. The Z06 out of the box is just a lot more fun. STi just looks a little goofy for my taste these days..but both cars are a blast!

You have, yet again, proved my point that you haven’t the slightest clue of whats going on in the auto industry right now. GM’s auto sales are very good in comparison to all other auto manufacturers, and they aren’t behind at all, really- not any more than any other manufacturers including Toyota, Honda, Ford, Chyrsler, Subaru, Mitsubishi, etc. They’re ALL taking losses with the economy. It’s not like it’s just GM. However, GM DOES have shitty management, and is the sole reason for their bailout

WTF are you talking about? The Dodge Viper ACR holds the fastest production car laptime around Nurburgring, and the Corvette ZR1 holds second.

I can guarantee you there was a lot more at play here than just the two cars, and I can guarantee you that there wasn’t just a different turbo installed on that STi, because turbos involve much more than just the unit itself.

talk all the smack you want, that vette lost, gm NEEDED that bailout because they couldnt sell cars…had they been able to sell cars, there’d be no need for a bailout…simple as that.

no ones been buying their cars. low sales/no sales = need fukcing bailout.
vette is not one of the two fastest at nurburgring. its up there, but not there.
yeah i have no clue about cars, GM is all there is to it about cars. lol.
oh yeah, you at nasa must have designed the vette to make a solid claim that it’s not supposed to be quick straight line car. well the sti isnt a straight line car either. it’s a rally car that owned that vettre. stfu.

Lol, you don’t have a clue about cars do you? GM is getting a bailout because their management sucks, not because their vehicles suck- as a matter of fact, that is one of the most ridiculous statements I’ve ever heard.

The Corvette isn’t supposed to be quick in the straight line, it’s supposed to tear the asses out of everything in the corners, and that’s what it does. Look at the two fastest production cars around Nurburgring? Corvette and Viper.

I know why the Vette slowed down.
I was showing a new infiniti 370GT SP my tail lights in a 55 zone. Hit fourth and saw the HUD. 127MPH ! Oh crap! What would a ticket like that cost?
What would happen if that knuckle head lost it and hit a pole?
Street racing is for boneheads. Just don’t do it.
