This video was made years back when this information was first becoming public, alot of it has become innert since and discredited including the info about the sudbury plant. However, Toyota is still not what I would call an environmentally concius company.
I tried reaching Tesla motors to enquire about thier fuel-free tesla roadster car, but when I asked about the content of thier batteries, they declined to comment.
Good sales job, but misses the point while supplying inaccurate information. The internal combustion engine is over 100 years old. If we stopped subsidizing waste and pollution we’d have better solutions than gas guzzlers and mediocre batteries. Implement a carbon tax and unleash innovation (and create jobs in the process.

The arguments used in this video have all been discredited.
The life-cost study of the Prius was done by CNW Marketing. It has been disproved by many groups. CNW made up numbers for the report – there are no references. Toyotas battery warranty alone is 100,000 miles. Prius taxis regularly exceed 250,000 miles – I have been in one.
The comments about Sudbury were true – 30 years ago. Sulphur emissions are now down 90% and the area restored. Toyota buys about 0.5% of the nickel produced there.
